About This Game ‘Darkness Within’ is an adventure game series, inspired by the works of celebrated horror writer, H.P. Lovecraft. In this second instalment, ‘The Dark Lineage’, players once again take the role of police detective Howard Loreid, a man tormented by the paranormal happenings around him, in the first volume ‘In Pursuit of Loath Nolder’. Now, Howard discovers that his own terrible past has some connection to the madness that is about to swallow him, yet again. The Dark Lineage will take you to places where the ‘things’ of the past still live, and all the memories that should be long forgotten are still recalled; including a sleepy, depressing town called Arkhamend, a Victorian mansion that conceals dark secrets, a dilapidated building hidden within forbidding, snow-clad woods and dim underground buildings and tunnels. The Dark Lineage is even more harrowing than the previous instalment, so prepare yourself for the descending darkness, this time will be your last...Darkness Within 2: The Dark Lineage ‘Director's Cut Edition’ was specifically created for Steam, with many extra features not available in previous versions:Graphical refreshes for most environments.A brand new location begging to be explored.Post screen Chromatic Aberration effect and Color gradation effect create a more ‘cinematic’ look, drastically improving the overall visual effect.More balanced game-play with new additional puzzles and enhancements.Key features:Unlike Part 1, Part 2 is no longer ‘point-and-click’, but plays in 3D, with the power of the NVIDIA PhysX engine ; so you can move anywhere you want, light up your way with light sources that cast real-time soft shadows and realistically lift up, push, pull or throw objects.Built-in Hint System with 3 Difficulty Levels – Players can choose to play in Standard, Detective, or Senior Detective modes.Dynamic Puzzles and Features: Traditional adventure game puzzles are complimented by deciphering dreams, underlining excerpts in documents to garner critical clues and interacting physically with the environmentEnhanced Gameplay Experience: Compelling special effects, stunning visuals, and dynamic lighting and shading, in a ‘first person’ game environment.Eerie Gameplay Atmosphere: An immersive experience is created by a fascinating ‘Lovecraftian’ story, chilling realtime cut scenes, and haunting music. 7aa9394dea Title: Darkness Within 2: The Dark LineageGenre: Adventure, IndieDeveloper:Zoetrope InteractivePublisher:Iceberg InteractiveRelease Date: 28 May, 2010 Darkness Within 2: The Dark Lineage Activation Crack darkness within 2 the dark lineage director's cut edition walkthrough. darkness within 2 the dark lineage director's cut edition. darkness within 2 the dark lineage free download. darkness within 2 the dark lineage director's cut. darkness within 2 the dark lineage system requirements. darkness within 2 the dark lineage (pc). darkness within 2 the dark lineage review. darkness within 2 the dark lineage walkthrough. darkness within 2 the dark lineage wiki. darkness within 2 the dark lineage gameplay. darkness within 2 the dark lineage download. darkness within 2 the dark lineage metacritic. darkness within 2 the dark lineage. darkness within 2 the dark lineage indir. darkness within 2 the dark lineage director's cut edition прохождение "Darkness Within 2: The Dark Lineage (Director's Cut Edition)" brings us back to Howard Loreid after the events of the previous installment. While Darkness Within 1 was narratively set up as a flashback to show Loreid's descent into madness, Darkness Within 2 shows events afterwards. Ditching the point and click to a free roam horror game inspired by Lovecraft's works. While it is not necessary to play Darkness Within 1 (recounting those events early on), it certainly makes you see the ending.Unlike the first, Darkness Within 2 doesn't suffer as much from pacing. Not requiring you to go back and forth to read documents as much (in fact, you're not really required to except in one or two instances). Instead it encourages you to speak with residents of Arkhamend to gain information to progress. It also brings free roam exploration as the focus while puzzles are used to get to important items for the ending. Darkness Within 2 seems to want to engage the player more into the character, and it helps with these changes. It also has an quick save system when pressing 'F5' which is highly appreciated. However, with these changes, there are problems. The voice acting, while some are good, most is flat. There is no difference between the voice used for monologues than when you are actually speaking to someone (at least with the previous game, the voice actor used a hushed tone to distingush between the two). There is no difference between inner monologue than speaking Some areas have areas where you can fall through the floor. While some are behind areas blocked off, there was one towards the end after a puzzle. Along with this, I do suggest if there will be invisible walls, have them to where the player can't jump over most of them. While subtitles are translated to english, at the end it is not. It also needs to be said that this version has objects moved and some puzzles added (this is not the first version of the game), so there is only a german walkthrough that tells you where those objects are located and how to solve the new puzzles. Darkness Within 2 also gives too much information, not leaving the player to question whether these events truely happened or not. While Darkness Within 2 can be frusturating, it is worth playing.Overall:+ pacing is improved+ sound effects realistic+ more immersion+ quick save system+\/- difference between this and other version can cause confusion while looking for a walkthrough+\/- objects or hotspot can be too small to see - flat voice acting- bug where you can fall through the map. Nice adventure in the style of Amnesia: The dark Descent, but without horror or enemies...You should really like this genre, otherwise skip this one. But if you do you could have a good time with it.. unless you want to have a hard time andi mean it a really hard time to find everything they placed where it shouldnt go on tho you will havea hard time finding a walkthrough thru the modified version wich is this one here also good luck trying to run the game it wont launch unless you find the exe and puti t in compatibility mode (unless its just me) anyway my score on this game is a lame 0 cus its a pain to play it oh also did i say watch out to not hit the collision they tend to throw you out of the map sometimes bad coding guys fix it and i will change tht zero havea a nice day. Improves upon its predecessor in many ways, a pretty worthy sequel. Be warned though, the 3D engine is quite buggy. Save often, as you might find yourself walking through walls or falling straight through the ground if you jump too vivaciosly.. I would love to recommend this game but I found it just too hard. I am an adventure game player but the puzzles in this game and the previous are very difficult. One of the most difficult things was underlining the documents, because if you don't underline everything possible you really don't get the whole story. Then, after using a walkthrough to get a little over halfway I got stuck and have never finished it. I have had this game in my library for quite some time and have never finished it because I have to depend on a walkthough to progress after like the first chapter or two. It just wasn't worth it to me. I really wanted to finish the story but just going through the motions I lost all Immersion in the story and ended up bored with it. I know I'm in the minority here, but that's how I feel. This game also requires pretty good specs on your machine. I started on my old Win7 with integrated graphics and even though it met minimum specs I was just about unplayable. I now have a gaming computer, albeit an old one... 4 years old, it runs it just fine. I have dedicated graphics with 2 GB of memory, 12 GB of Ram and my processor runs with 3.5 GHz. If you are up for a challenge I would suggest at least 1 GB of dedicated graphics memory and a hefty processor. OK, well, just because I didn't recommend it doesn't mean it's unplayable or bad. It's not. If you are up for a challenge and have the equipment by all means go for it. But if you get too frustrated and feel stupid because you can't figure out very difficult puzzles or don't have the patience to underline everything and combine everything I would pass. There are people out there this may be a snap for but I am not one of them.. Walls are only suggestions.... This second instalment is good too, but tbh I liked the first one a little more. Pros: - nice puzzles in the first half of the game - great, creepy atmosphere (especially later on) - really enjoyed the writing in some of the journals and letters you stumble upon in the gameCons: - 3d models of human npcs look a little goofy - I feel the story is a little disjointed (not sure what the point of the first half even was from a in-game perspective)Also, this one has more direct references to the Mythos than the first game.. This game isn't like the first, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. DW2 is more of an action horror game in-line with Penumbra than it is like DW1 which was more about reading and imagining the horrors than actually seeing them in front of you. The fact that the other-wordly entities in this game are commonly up-close and personal takes away from it's Lovecraftian feel. The writings and text were also more sure of themselves and to-the-point.There are some gameplay issues to consider:- Falling through walls is a problem. I did it at least 10 times trying to explore areas I wasn't supposed to. SAVE OFTEN.- Running is clunky, walking up/down stairs is not smooth, jumping is strange. The WASD controls seem tacked on.Still recommend it.
